Each Year group is supported by a Year Advisor. Students are introduced to the Year Advisor in Year 6. The Year Advisor supports students through the transition process into High School and continues this support until the end of Year 12. Once at High School the Year Advisor supports students in the following way.
Year Advisors
- Monitor students' progress and request progress reports from teachers to provide information and strategies to parents and other teachers
- Follow up on parental requests for referrals to school counsellors
- Help with health care plans and Individual Education Plans and confidential issues
- Follow up on student welfare concerns
- Request work for students who are away for long periods of time.
The Year Advisor is a good initial point of contact if you have concerns regarding your childs pastoral care or academic progress. If unavailable or if it is a serious matter you can contact the Deputy Principal Mrs Skamperle.
